CONCLUSION

Dell has a come a long way from building computers in his dorm room to becoming one of the biggest company in the world. It is interesting that Dell bought IBM parts from a warehouse and created PC that he later sold by mail order. It was a simple move that created the biggest computer company in the world. His method is simple. He sells his computers directly to the customers without using retail stores. It strives in efficiency by selling customers with best quality in a low price. Dell company uses business to business as well as business to consumer to buy and sell products on internet, which is also knows as e-commerce. In a conclusion, Dell company will continues to grow by its direct selling strategy. Dell company will continue to offer new quality products which both individuals and businesses will need.  






HARDWARE 

Input, output, processing, connecting and telecommunication are some hardware categories which sold or used by DELL. These categories are consist of hard disks, monitors, keyboards, modems, ports, graphic cars, memory cards, CPU, scanners etc. Intel and Microsoft are largely responsible for DELL's software and hardware. Microsoft Vista, Microsoft XP, Anti Spyware software, Linux are some types of software used in DELL computers. Opera(Web Browser),Microsoft word(Word Processing),Microsoft Excel(Spreed sheet Software),SQL(Data ball Software),Microsoft Powerpoint(Presentation Software)Media Player(Audio /Video Software), World of Warcraft(Game Software), Adobe Photoshop(Graphics Software) and ITunes(Music/sound software are some of the types of apllications software used or sold by Dell.

LAN and WAN networks are both used in DELL computers. Local area networks is consists of anywhere from two to thousands of computers. As for Wide area networks are very large networks of computers.They span very large areas covering couple miles. 

What kind of interface do they use?
DELL computer uses Ethernet card as an interface. Ethernet cards are very common. Ethernet cards are kind of network adapters which support the Ethernet standard for high speed network connections via cables. Ethernet cards sometimes known as a network interface cards (NIC).

What kind of media do they use?
Wired media is an Ethernet cable having four pairs of insulated copper conductors while the wireless media is the electromagnetic field in the air between your device and the cell tower or WiFi access point. So DELL computer uses both wired and wireless media. 

What kind of communications software do they use?
Communication software is used to provide remote access to systems and exchange files and messages in text, audio and/or video formats between different computers or user IDs. DELL uses Unified Communications Software. Unified Communications (UC) is an innovative new suite of technologies that seamlessly integrate multiple mediums of communications via your existing IP-based network. 

What kind of connecting devices or components? How do they connect to the internet and at what speeds?
DELL also uses CISCO system which includes power adapters to actual voIP phones. These components are connected through a security systems router which offers IPS, firewall, VPN, URL filtering and offering the highest levels of performance, security and scalability. 

Do they use Voice over IP? 
Voice over IP is an ability to make telephone calls and send faxes over IP-based data networks with a suitable quality of service (QoS) and superior cost-benefit. DELL offers voice over IP through CISCO and Nortel Networks for all small business. 

How do they apply the four principles of network security?
CISCO and Nortel Networks use the four principles of network security which are confidentially, authenticity, integrity and availability. network security means, information is accessible to authorized companies only.
